Food insecurity is a reality for 1 in 3 New Yorkers. The resources below, both city and non-government, are here to assist anyone who lacks sufficient access to healthy food on a daily basis.

Additional NYC Food Security Resources

Everyone is entitled to emergency food assistance. Your immigration status does not matter to receive this assistance. You can call 311 or the city’s Emergency Food Hotline at 866-888-8777.

You may also be entitled to SNAP benefits (food stamps). Only U.S. citizens and certain lawfully-present non-citizens may receive SNAP benefits. To find out if you are eligible, click HERE.

GetFoodNYC provides a map of pantries, soup kitchens, grab-and-go meals throughout the five boroughs.
